Oil Pulling Side Effects





From what we know, intensive research on oil pulling methods have suggested that it is primarily used to pull various toxins from mucus membranes of the mouth. However, these studies have hinted that this does not exclude the possibility of some toxins which are not favourable to the metabolism getting absorbed into the bloodstream while oil pulling.

1. Some people are allergic to constituents of oil. You must check with your doctor that you are free of allergies to a nuts or seeds. Some of these oils are extracted from nuts and seeds so allergy to these foods or nuts could predispose you to allergies to their by-products of which these oils are inclusive. If you are allergic to a particular brand of oil, then change the brand of oil to one you are not allergic to.

2. Never hurry while oil pulling. If oil pulling is done too rapidly, it may cause sneezing and probably a bit of chocking if it Oil pulling. So it’s advisable to do these therapies in a relaxed environment and when you have ample time on your hands.

3. Do not practice oil pulling using other oils apart from those generally recommended for the purpose. Practising with non-recommended oils may be dangerous if the consistency or viscosity of the oil is not right.
